Exploring My Perfume Collection

Now you may be thinking.. Melissa, thats far too many perfumes and my reply it’s not that much (There is always room for more) haha! If I told you this time last year that I only had 4 perfumes in my collection would you be shocked? Well, it’s true. Last year I had 4 perfumes in my collection and that was over the course of 7 years. I didn’t really go for perfumes before that because I didn’t wear perfume much, now I can’t leave my house without dosing myself in perfume!

Last year, I started seeing different perfumes on TikTok, and I purchased Lattafa Yara. The perfume addict inside me awakened! From March last year until now, here is where my collection is at. I am shocked myself sometimes haha!!

I never really heard of Arab perfume brands before but over the last few months I have collected a fair few and wow! So many of them are divine!

Which perfume was on your wishlist the longest?

I remember leaving school when I was 15 with my school friends to have coffee, after that, we went to Frasers and looked at perfumes and I fell in love with ‘Guerlain Insolence’. I forgot its name for years but finally got it 19 years later as a gift for myself. Teenage Melissa would be so happy. It’s like walking in a violet garden on a warm summer day.

Which were your original 4 perfumes?

I didn’t buy perfume much before and 2 of these were gifts if I remember correctly. But the original 5 are ‘Lush – Princess Peach’, which is a blend of pineapple and peach. ‘Alien by Mugler’ which is a blend of jasmine and amber, Il be honest sometimes I love this perfume and other times I think ew. I dunno why. Next is ‘Marc Jacobs-Honey’  which is a gorgeous summer scent with its floral and vanilla blends, I bought this because my name means honey bee. Lastly, we have ‘Tom Ford – Orchid Soleil‘ which is a floral scent, Now I really don’t like perfume, it’s awful in my opinion. Maybe it’s just my skin chemistry but damn.
